Biographical Information

Dr. Mei Gao is the founder and director of Mayflower Hearing Care. Before founding Mayflower Hearing Care, she had extensive practice experience in audiology for nearly 20 years at multiple positions including 17 years at Penta Hearing Care in Princeton, NJ. Dr. Gao received her Medical Doctor degree in 1992 and practiced as an Ear, Nose and Throat physician in Beijing, China. After coming to US, she received her Master’s Degree in Audiology from Temple University in 1999, and her Doctor’s degree in Audiology from the Arizona School of Health Science in 2006. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the national certifying body for audiologists in the United States.

Dr. Gao specialized comprehensive audiological testing and hearing aid training and evaluations. She selects advanced digital hearing aids to individuals based upon their specific needs and lifestyles. Dr. Gao also administers other various diagnostic testing including videonystagmograpgy (VNG), Auditory Brainstem Response testing (ABR) and auditory processing evaluations. She has experience testing individuals of all ages ranging from newborn babies in the neonatal units to the geriatric population.
